Our Mission:
Douglas County Libraries provides resources for learning and leisure to build communities and improve lives in Douglas County.
Our Resources Include:
- Hundreds of thousands of books and magazines;
- Downloadable digital content, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, research tools and commercial databases;
- Highly-trained staff, eager to help you find just what you're looking for;
- Programs, meeting rooms, and other ways for you to explore your community and improve your life.
Our Service Locations Include:
- Regional libraries in Castle Rock (the Philip S. Miller Library), Parker and Highlands Ranch;
- Neighborhood libraries at Lone Tree, Roxborough and Louviers;
- A bookmobile with regular stops in Castle Pines North and neighborhoods west, north and south of Parker;
- A pick-up point at Cherry Valley Elementary School;
- Books-by-mail to Deckers residents;
- By special arrangement, door-to-door deliveries to homebound residents.
We Are Governed By:
A 7-member Board of Trustees, appointed by the Douglas County Commissioners. Beyond those appointments, Douglas County Libraries is an independent library district, separate from County government and funded by its
own dedicated mill levy.
