The Highlands Ranch Library is located within the Highlands Ranch Town Center, this community’s central retail and service hub. The library features a large, beautifully-decorated children’s room with an extensive collection for both kids and parents. Highlands Ranch Library also houses Douglas County Libraries’ most in-depth business collection, with expert onsite reference service. Public meeting rooms include two large rooms on the first floor and four small study rooms on the second floor. There is also a well-appointed quiet reading room with beautiful mountain views.

Creative Writing Group 1st &2nd Gr. Session 3
Where: Highlands Ranch at Shea A
Get your creative juices flowing! Join the this seven-week creative writing session. Each 1st or 2nd grader can attend one seven-week session. Registration is required.
Creative Writing Group for 3rd - 6th gr. Session 3
Where: Highlands Ranch at Shea B
Get your creative juices flowing! Attend a 7-week session of our creative writing workshop for children 3rd-6th grade. Each child can attend one 7-week session. Registration is required.
Mother/Daughter Book Group for Teens

Mother/Teen Daughter (ages 12-15) Book Group meets the first Monday of the month at 7pm to discuss books. Registration is required. The book for Jan. 5th is Airborn by Kenneth Oppel.
Daytime Book Group

Monthly get-together to discuss both fiction and non-fiction titles.They meet upstairs in the Quiet Reading Room. No registration required.
Bookbusters Book Club

Welcome Genealogists! Join this group that meets the first Tuesday of each month September through May. January 6, 2009, 7pm Roger Dudley will speak about When All Else Fails, Try the Local Newspapers. No registration necessary.
Great Books Discussion Group

Great Books discussion groups are forums for thoughtful adults to read and discuss significant works of fiction, philosophy, political science, poetry, and drama. This group meets upstairs in the Quiet Reading Room.
Rockin' Readers Book Group

3rd and 4th graders book group runs September through May. Additional information is available in the Children's Reference Department at Highlands Ranch Library. Currently this is Full, but please direct all inquiries to the Highlands Ranch Children's Library Staff.
Mystery Loves Company Book Club

Monthly book group meets to discus various mystery novels. It will meet Jan. 8th because of the New Year's Holiday. No registration necessary.
"Practice Your English"

Go - Game Club

Go is a game that originated in China about 4,000 years ago. It is said to be more challenging than chess or bridge; but, people of all ages can learn the basics in 30 minutes.
